I ordered a young Ceph on Saturday, and Matt kindly e-mailed me to inform me that it would be shipping that same day. It arrived on Monday, 2 days later, which was amazingly fast. The plant was exceptionally packed and seemed as if it came straight from a nursery. It has 12+ little pitchers and is doing great. You can't beat the price, service, and quality from Matt and Steve! Thank you both.

    * A note for people ordering a Ceph (Matt can correct me if I'm wrong) -- I believe he grows the Cephs in a terrarium under lights. Because of this, I'd suggest slowly acclimating young Cephs if you plan to put them outside. It may do fine without it - I threw a mature one outside as a test and it wasn't phased, but I think it's better safe than sorry (at least with young ones).

(Note added by Steve-- Although Matt sometimes grows some Cephalotus in a terrarium, the prepotted Cephalotus we sell have been acclimated to greenhouse conditions with light and temperature variations that are somewhat more gentle than outdoor conditions. It's important not to overwater Cephalotus. It's safer to keep them on the drier side with the medium moist but not too wet all the time. The pitchers will close when conditions become too dry, which is an indication that the Cephalotus wants and needs watering, which should be thorough but not too frequent. Cephs do better when protected from midsummer sun on very hot days.)

Cephalotus Follicularis has got to be my favorite plant of all time. Received my ceph only a couple days after placing my order. Matt and Steve had absolutely excellent correspondence via email when setting up my order (potted).

It's still very small, but was ready-to-go/grow right out of the box. I just hope it gets enough sunlight in my South facing window! Excellent buy and I'll be returning soon for more plants. Hopefully one day they may carry some of the larger strains of Cephalotus. (Originally posted September 30, 2011.)

Plants arrived quickly and well packed. There really wasn't an acclimation period as I noticed new growth within a week. I will never buy another carnivorious plant without checking FlyTrapStore.com sells it first.

I ordered a ceph back in february, and like the Heli i bought, the Ceph appeared ready to grow, and without any single sign of shock!

The packing is strongly excepcional, and the plant comes very secure!

    I give this a 100 stars!

    Thanks Matt and Steve! :)

Most this size go for 40-50 bucks on other websites. -1 star because I wasn't actually sure what size it would be and I figured it might be just a tad bit bigger. Young potted had about 3 1/2 inch pitchers and 10 3/8 inch pitchers.

    Was shipped VERY well.

Was large, wonderful, and colorful, a bit pricey, but even with this size it was the cheapest I could find! This is a great product. (Originally posted May 30. 2011.)

I was the first to order this beautiful plant, and am glad I did! I got a large Cephalotus with about 30 immature pitchers! Within weeks, it was putting out "teethy" pitchers, and now it has 5 mature pitchers. Give this plant time and watch it grow! You won't be disappointed :D (Originally posted May 30, 2011.)
