The perfect growing medium for Venus Flytraps and many other carnivorous plants, this mix contains sphagnum peat moss, pure 12-grit silica sand, and perlite. The price includes the cost of shipping. Although ingredients for this mix can sometimes be found locally, this product is a great option for those who aren't able to obtain one or more of the ingredients locally, or are unsure of the quality of those ingredients.
Regular or large size— The regular size is 514 cubic inches of growing medium. To visualize how much that is, look at a piece of standard U.S. letter size paper, 8.5 inches by 11 inches. Now imagine a box that size, and 5.5 inches tall; the growing medium comes in a box of exactly those dimensions. The large size (792 cubic inches) is in a box 12 inches by 12 inches by 5.5 inches tall. Please be careful when opening the box not to pierce the bag of growing medium inside.
