Sarracenia 'Leah Wilkerson' is a naturally occurring hybrid of S. leucophylla and S. flava worthy of a spot in every collection! With its tall and large pitchers, S. x 'Leah Wilkerson' was easily spotted when discovered by Brooks Garcia in 2002 on the Wilkerson bog in Walton County, Florida. Pinnacle is a giant Venus flytrap variety that produces tall, robust leaves that grow nearly straight up in the summer and are topped with large traps on the ends of the leaves. Pinnacle also boasts graceful long cilia ("teeth"). Pinnacle was grown from seed by long-time Venus flytrap grower Dr. Samuel Vergio Miensinompe. Sam wrote that the typical trap of a fully grown Pinnacle is about one and three quarters inches.
