Hi all,

i have a jar with lots of Drosera. The culture is 4 months old and the media looks very yellowish.

Now i want to cut the clump to 5-6 new clumps.

My question: When i take the big clump out from the jar, should i wash the roots from the old yellow media?? Or its no problem for the new fresh media?

Whats the best method to wash the old media from the clumps? In sterile water and stirring very strong?

best regards
Tobias

Hello Tobias,

I think you're Drosera need a replate. Just place them on new media, you don't have to rinse the old media off, just maske sure you get them more or less clean out of the old vessel. you can cut them down depending on their size. Make sure you cut on a sterile petri dish or something like that.

Hi Lukas,

thx for fast reply!!!

ok, i will take out the clump from the jar. I use a sterile petri dish for cutting.

And then i will place the different clumps on new media quickly....
