Just got my VFP and I had this desk lamp so I went to WalMart and bought a 14W bulb with 800 lumens. I have this as close to the plant as it can be.

Hello and welcome to flytrapcare!

That's a pretty low amount of light. Your flytrap won't likely be very healthy with that low amount of lighting. I'm guessing you don't have anywhere to grow it outside or in a sunny window?

Home Depot now has some flat compact fluorescent light bulbs that worked really well on my plants 2 winters ago when they skipped dormancy.

This is the minimum you can have:

really dont have the money to buy lighting. This desk lamp will only support up to a 26W fluorescent bulb.
