I can't if the perlite has anything dangerous added to it or not, but the other two seem safe. However, most of these materials can be easily obtained at a local garden center, and if you plan to grow CPs in the long run, it's far more cost efficient to buy in bulk. Plus, buying from one source saves on shipping.

That's not "dirt". I was about to mention it would be harmful for your plant but on the website it's "potting mix", so it's probably peat moss and perlite or sand. You can just go to Lowe's or Home Depot and buy peat moss there. You'll barely get anything from bugbitingplants. With the shipping included you'd be able to buy A LOT of peat moss from either store mentioned before.

The other two are good! I only use Spagmoss nowadays and it's one of the best you can buy. The perlite's good too, I think I bought a few bags from them before. Not a lot but enough to start.

I bought the vft mix from flytrapstore. Excellent medium. In terms of bang for buck, the box I received was so completely full, you could not have gotten 1 more teaspoon in there. Buy from Matt + Leah, you won't be disappointed. Besides u already buying plants from them, 2 birds 1 stone. ;-) I got the small order, I'm not sure cause I didn't try, but I think it's enough to fill 4, 8x8x7 pots which I scooped up at lowes/home depot. (Midwest USA) for like $2 a piece.
