Looking for sundews that don't spread too much, if at all. Got sick of Capensis spreading everywhere, but still want some sundews around.

You could cut the flower stalks off of the plants to stop them from spreading. You'd have to go for species that doesn't self pollinate or form offshoots. I think Drosera filiformis ssp. tracyi doesn't self polinate very well but it can get big.

Drosera adelae, Drosera hamiltonii, Drosera binata 'Marston's Dragon' and Drosera binata "Multifida Extrema " need the pollen from a different clone to produce seed.

Drosera regia and Drosera slackii are species which are slow growing and slower to flower.

These are some good species which don't become weedy.

If you're looking for one that doesn't spread, I would recommend D. regia. That one is slow and picky. You're not going to have a problem with regia overtaking your collection :D.

I’ll pitch in and say Drosera magnifica! If you can provide cool temps and high levels of light you’ll enjoy that species. It’s slow growing but can get huge.

Those are some excellent answers, thank you! I had been wondering if Hamiltonii would be okay, as having some flat sundews as companion plants would be good, doesn't dominate the view space too much then.

I did hear Regia doesn't self pollinate I believe?

So Spatulata is quite different to Tokaienses then? XD

So spatulata seeds are self fertile and will spread readily? If it requires me cutting flower stalks off, it just aint gonna happen XD Too many plants to watch.

If you want one that is easy to obtain and doesn't spread quick, go with D. Adelae. You can find them at Lowes super cheap.
