Pygmies are more sensitive to shipping then most sundews. They have a few thin roots that tear easily and cause a lot of shock to the plant. Most pygmies are sold as gemmae, which are small reproductive leaves that are sowed like seeds quickly grow into adult plants. These are produced mainly in autumn and sometimes in spring.

You'll probably find the largest range by contacting owners via forums or posting a want-listing. They're not the most commonly sold drosera.

Thanks I've taken a look and they all look great! I'm thinking of getting one that doesn't go dormant to brighten up the terrarium but not exactly sure which ones do and don't, so could anyone recommend a few?

Hmmm... I'm not sure if there are any species that doesn't go dormant but D. scorpioides and D. pulchella are the two easier species to grow and propagate.

Have you read this guide yet? I found it really useful when I first started out with pygmy Drosera spp.
