My d. Binata's growth has taken off in the past several weeks, and I've heard they have large root systems. So I'm just wondering if this pot is big enough, and if it is for how much longer, and also how often should you repot them just to get them in fresh media.

What is the diameter of that pot?

What is the depth of the soil? From the overhead view, it's far below the rim of the pot.

Finally, how long have the plants been in this soil (i.e., how old is the soil)?

The pot is 5 inches deep and the soil is about 1 1/4 inches from the rim of the pot. The pot is 6 1/2 inches wide. It has been in this soil for about 3 1/2 months.

The media's definitely not gonna go bad in 3.5 months. Basically all sundews do have pretty large root systems, especially binata, but they *can* stand being root-bound for a while before giving you a hard time. Until you see roots poking out from the drainage holes there's basically no need for a repot.

Thanks, I'm planning on moving it to a larger pot some point this winter, because I think it will go into a semi- dormant state.
