Today I saw tiny specks on my unfurling Drosera 'Dreamsicle' flower scape.
A magnifying loupe revealed aphids hanging out and partying there.
Now I have to keep an extra close eye on all plants in that area.
I cut off the scape, blasted the aphids off with a water jet, and rinsed several times.
I put the scape in a water filled test tube.
Any strikes from this will be clones of the original 'Dreamsicle'.
If I had let it flower and set seed, the seeds would have to be labeled D. 'Dreamsicle' x Self.
So it's actually a good thing I cut the scape.
I can pay forward Xantho with a giveaway later this year.
