Two seed sets on the bank are listed as such:
Sarr 032 - Sarracenia 'Leah Wilkerson' X S. 'Judith Hindle'
Sarr 033 - Sarracenia 'Judith Hindle' X S. 'Leah Wilkerson'

Could someone clarify for me? Is the first the male and the second the female, vice versa, or something completely different?

The first name refers to the pod (female) parent, the second to the pollen (male) parent. I'd guess that the pollen was swapped between the two potential parents, A to B and B to A (which is called a reciprocal cross).

That raises an interesting thought. Has anyone noticed a difference in genes passed through the 'maternal' line rather than 'paternal'? I know as humans we have that but I'd be curious about our plants.
