My post office doesn't scan anything. It only gets scanned when it makes it to the regional distribution center.

Yep, I sent out a bunch of first class with tracking and they still haven't been scanned.

My Post Office is just sorry.

The post office announced a couple of months ago that shipping would slow due to the holidays, as well as prices being raised. They say that the prices will go back down and the shipping times will improve after, but we'll see.
However, I've noticed that if you take a tracked parcel up to a clerk at the counter, it will at least show accepted where the self-service kiosk items seem to not get scanned until they get to a central distribution station.
