Do you mean macro?

For macro shots, the thing to look for on a point and shoot camera is a high optical zoom, like 5x or so. The Canon Powershot and Canon G series are good cameras, as is Nikon Coolpix.

In my opinion, in point and shoot cameras the optical zoom does not help in macro shots very much:) Canon cameras are good, but I prefer Panasonic ones when it comes about the point and shoot ones

Nikkor lenses are great and the d90 body is pretty nice. If you want a good macro just make sure it's reasonably high speed and you'll be able to take some amazing shots.
