I've seen these threads in other forums I belong to, but haven't seen one here. I always like them because you can see what others are doing on a regular basis. Just post what you did in your CP collection today.

I gave my Megatraps some more leg room, since he seemed a little cramped. Since it was freshly potted when I received it in the spring. I did it so I didn't disturb his roots. One big plug.

A home more fitting of his stature.

Nice idea for a thread!

Today was medium seedling feeding day for my guys, Drosera mostly.
Medium seedlings get freeze dried bloodworms cut into four or more pieces and rehydrated with distilled water. I then use a tiny probe or Dentist's pick to put the bloodworm portion in the middle of the leaf.

Seedgrown hartmeyerorum eating bloodworm and starting to look good, but no landing lights yet.

(I know it's too green. It grows in a sheltered area. He'll move into better light when he's a little bigger.)

Good growing,
Mike

Similarly to you, I moved this to a larger pot without disturbing it. I couldn't pass this typical up at lowes. It was just delivered so definitely saved it. Add it to the list of typicals haha Image

I'm a night owl so the day is still young. How about for my future collection? I just got this in the mail today and put it together.

It was only $12 shipped with 100 test tubes and lids. Shadowtski recently posted some great Drosera water germination results so I thought I would give it a try. Also Hollyhock just sent me 3 D. regia seeds in water and they all germinated. The short plastic containers in the background are what I had started to use, this setup will take up a lot less space.

Awesome guys and gals!

Feel free to ask questions about what others are doing/ posting.

Where did you find that smooter? I just read through that thread too, and was thinking about trying that with my next batch of seedlings.

I picked up some wally mart $5 plants today. they're not bad looking. Can't believe they say to fertilize once a month on the clear packaging. Bags of Miracle grow potting mix with fertilizer everywhere. Miracle grow perlite 'with fertilizer.' MG Sphagnum moss 'with fertilizer.' Lets mix it all together and watch your regular plants burst into flames. How does that company stay in business? I think it's the worst crap for any plant.
Also picked up some perfect 6" plastic pots with their own connecting drain bowl for 10 cents a piece! That's my kind of price. I guess because it's the end of the season, they're giving that stuff away. So now's the time to get your miracle grow. Ha!
