So, yesterday I got a new orchid from Lowe's, I got it for a great price because it was done flowering and I noticed some weird growth on it, I believe it is a phalaenopsis, can someone tell me what it is?

I must be missing what you're seeing as "weird". All I'm seeing is the start of a new fan with an aborted root. (Or it could be a trimmed spike.) Otherwise, I think you got it before Lowe's destroyed it.

I thought it was weird because I'm fairly new to orchids and had never seen this, should I just leave it alone?

Also, I did a bit of research, could it possibly be a keiki?

I suppose it could technically be a keiki but to me it looks like the typical new growth of some types of Phals. It does seem to have it's own roots but I definitely would not try remove it, especially as the plant is under heavy stress - both parts could die. The easy keikis as the ones that grow on flower stalks. They're easy to see, easy to watch as the roots grow, and easy to separate without damage to the mother plant.

A keiki (properly pronounced KAY-kee) with what I assume is the old flower spike between it and the mother plant.
