Weird bumps on my flytrap leaves

One of my flytraps has some small elongated bumps on it's leaves. They don't seem to be causing any problems, nor can I find any parasites that could be causing them.
I thought the strong AZ sun might be scorching the leaves, but I have about ten VFTs and none of them have this issue. Here's a pic. Anyone else seen this?

hmmm, I've never really seen anything like that except on the cultivar "shuppenstiel". Usually it's more pronounced on shuppenstiel though. I'm not sure if this happens to vfts, but some other plants get bumps on their leaves when a bug lays eggs under their leaf. I'm sure you'd have noticed eggs though.

Could be genetic. Like on the cultivar Sundews69 mentioned, but less pronounced. You could have a new cultivar waiting to be named.

Hmm, a new cultivar?? Intriguing...
I got this as a freebie from Cal Carnivores a few months ago. There were two VFTs in the pot but the other one is not showing the bumps, at least not yet. The larger of the two didn't have the bumps until about two months ago which made me think that it might have something to do with excessive sunlight. Another weird thing is that it happened to all the leaves on that plant at the same time.

Thanks for the pic. Some of the leaves have that ridgy appearance but not as pronounced. A closer examination of the smaller plant found the bumps. Seems to be isolated to just the two VFTs in this pot. Both plants are happy and healthy, so no worries. Yet.

Likely genetic. Schuppenstiel has to get is bumps from some gene somewhere so it is likely lying dormant in many flytraps.

A few of my typicals had some scaling this year. It’s seems to be random, like Pom Pom or double headed traps. Nothing to worry about.

Hey, wanted to jump in here a while ago but was on a trip so I couldn’t really show pictures. I thought it was just me. This is a typical I got from Lowes.
