This cultivar has proven very difficult to aquire.

The scaly leaves on top of the really long marginal spikes/lashes are absolutely stunning.

I've only been growing for about 6 months but already I can see it's going to be difficult to aquire this cultivar.

No, I do not believe it is. According to the FTS description, there is another plant from the Coquillage x trichterfalle cross that looks similar to phalanx with long teeth.

Watch the FTS site. They had some Phalanx a couple weeks ago, so it will come back around.
I almost bought one, but my wife thought the Flaming Lips looked cooler.

I respect your wife's opinion.

But the lashes on these fly traps is so cool! I haven't seen anything quite like it. I'm not a very big of the different lashes like on flaming lips.

I really hope... It's only after I wanted this cultivar that I realized how hard it is to get.

If you try to aquire one like RIGHT NOW, no one in the United States is really selling.

Lord I hope this thing isn't like $90

If I remember correctly, I think it was about half that (don't quote me on that, I don't run that shop). However, it is a popular cultivar, so expect to pay a little more due to supply and demand.

Yeah, it was listed the 18th and gone the 22nd. Be sure to sign up for notifications on the FlytrapStore website. You can also use Wachette.com to monitor the page to see when it changes. I monitor the FlytrapStore "What's in Stock?" page and get an e-mail every morning of what has changed.

Found a nursery here in the United States that has only a few!

Don't be too disappointed in the size. If it looks anything like the picture in a 2 inch pot, I'd be surprised.
