Walmart VFT

I bought similar one at Meijer last year and it's still alive and doing well, so I figured I'd buy this one, as the traps were huge compared to the other, and it was a dollar cheaper.

That's a nice looking plant. Makes me wish the Wal-Mart here sold fly traps. Good luck to you!

Yes mine are Rocket Farms too. Do you grow them in indirect sunlight like the directions say? I wonder why some say to grow it in indirect sunlight.

Thanks. Sometimes home depot, Lowes, or any large store might have them. Maybe check around. For $5 they're quite a deal lol.

I think they say indirect sunlight for these to acclimate to our weather. Thats how I adjust my new plants

How do you find Dionaea at WalMart and Lowe's/Home Depot IRL? I'm in Nashville, Tennessee - really not so far from North and South Carolina. I've never seen a Venus flytrap in a store here, not even the kits. I can order from Wal-Mart, and it's sort of okay priced. Anyhow, sorry to bring up an old topic but i couldn't resist

Uh....this this is 3 years old. More than likely, the members aren't even regulars on here anymore, let alone will respond.

I'm right up the road from you and my Lowes always have venus flytraps and pitcher plants. They're usually beside the cacti and other succulents.

Indeed. The Lowe's website says to inquire within at individual stores. I know the one here in Bellevue has an outdoor garden section but I was just there to get a pot and it's not an atrium. They did have cacti though

Home Depot has never had them, again outdoor garden with all plants there. Wal-Mart is order-only. The website says Wal-Mart VFTs out of stock but their garden section is inside the building and i've never seen VFTs in there

It's all right, the last VFT i got has twice the size traps of the ones pictured in this thread but for only a little over $12 :)

My wife bought me a VFT from Home Depot last year and the traps (multiple) were huge. I think they went for ~$7, definitely worth it!
I've seen similar ones at Lowe's, but never stumble across any VFT at Walmart.
