Hi my pitcher plant was growing well. It has increased 4 times in size and has large cups on it. The latest lot have no lids (they did before). Any ideas?

Hello there!
I believe your plant is fine. Sometimes nepenthes will put out deformed pitchers for seemingly no reason. It just happens sometimes. I've had the same thing happen to my ventrata but the very next round of pitchers were just fine.

I hope this helped you out with your concerns!

A couple of pitchers on my ventrata have grown like that recently. I kinda assumed it was due to repotting, but maybe it's due to the changing season? At any rate, it seems to be fine and I'm not worried at all.

Thank you so much! I thought I'd done something wrong. Greatly appreciate the response. There has been quite a change in temperature here in nz. So hopefully that's what it was

No problem! This also tends to happen a bit more often around fall/winter due to the decreasing light level.
