Is this normal pitcher death?

As the title says is this normal? I don’t ever remember pitchers browning on one side and then spreading....

The Rhizome seems fine and is putting out new pitchers.

from what i have seen in my limited experience it looks like it could be caused physical damage, look for a hole like a bug forced it way out the side or something similar, i would chop off the brown and used what left to feed the plant =)

I'd chop that pitcher off real quick. Either rotten insects inside or some serious sunburn and that pitcher is dying.
