They said it was a large. I get dormancy and all... but I expected the bulb to be bigger, the pot... some growth. My Medium surprise plant was bigger lol. But I can't be too mad, I think one is flowering. I thought they didn't flower so early. Anything I should know about the flowering?ImageImage

The only Sars I've ordered recently from Cal Car were some mystery un-potted rhizomes, so I'm not too certain what a dormant large Sarracenia should look like. I think they base Pitcher plant size off the hight of the pitchers, it looks like yours is reasonably sized and should have pretty tall pitchers by the end of the season (18-20in+). Also, most temperate Cp's are flowering around this time, yours is perfectly normal. If you want seed from yours, I'd look on YouTube or google for some info on that.

I'll definitely have to look, it would be a waste to let it grow so much and not get the seeds. At least I know that I'm being unreasonable with size. That last time I got a medium sized ginormous, even the rhizome was tiny. I let it sour me.
