Getting ready for spring

Hi just a quick question. With spring coming should I cut off any of the old growth to help promote new growth? Also should I repot (roots are not coming out of the bottom of the pot yet) or do these like the cramped potting?

Thanks!!

Pitchers look pretty decent. Purpurea traps typically last longer than other trumpet-variety sarracenia. If those are last season's pitchers, you can just leave them.

I can't really tell the depth of your pot, but it looks like that plant should be okay for another growing season or two.

Purps (and psittacina + hybrids of them) have long lasting pitchers and you don't need to cut anything until it turns brown.

I would probably up-pot it. That would give you more moisture stability and promote it to grow.

As others have said, it's more in need of a re-pot than a trim!
