Mealy Bugs

Hi I got a Flava from California Carnivores in mid august. All the pitchers almost immediately died off. At first, I thought it was just the shock of moving, but it never recovered. But when I cut the brown leaves off for dormancy, I saw this whitish powder on the rhizome. When I carefully pull the pitcher leaves away from the rhizome, you can see the mealy bugs buried deep in. Any suggestions? Any preferred pesticides? Is my plant a goner  ? I have separated it from my purpurea to prevent them from spreading.

I have had the best luck with systemic's
Try bayer rose and garden systemic insecticide.
There's two versions one does not contain fertilizer.
Make sure you get the right one.
It won't hurt your plant as I have used it before on Sarracenia and a few others.
I can't tell you if your plants a gooner only time can. Hopefully it will be ok

Try a product by BAYER that containes Imidacloprid, a systemic for mealy bugs . . . . .I have used it on my Phal orchids and cephalotus and other Neps.
Works Great!
