Hello everyone,
This could be 90% Impatience, and 10% curiousity, but has anyone ever pulled pitchers or leaves wit success past the Spring? I have read as much available material as i can find. Some sources i have found say to not take pullings past early spring. Others don't mention any certain time to take pullings or divisions/rhizome cuttings, just how. I can understand if this is not a wise thing to do to a plant outside of the growing season because the chances of success or lowered to the point of not making it worth it. However, if people have taken pullings outside the growing season let me know. I will let patience prevail if it isn't wise to do so!
Is this because of inadequate developement from pulling till dormancy for the young plantlet? would artificial conditions help change the odds?
Or is it because of the natural growth cycle of the plant?
To many plants... not enough time...

All of the previous pullings rooted! Today i impatiently repotted them, but i think they're going to take it. More to come

About my previous question...
Outside of the growing season is going to be my cut-off. If the plant is healthy and in a state of solid growth it's a possibility.

Wow, you've got some crazy Cephs going on there. I think that as long as they are actively growing, you can still snip off cuttings.

Congratulations on the good strike rate you have some beautiful plants, I can't wait until mine get bigger. How old is your largest plant ?

For now my plants are the only stock I have. If you don't mind waiting i'll let you know when the pullings take and start sending up pitchers. Hummer's soon

Once i get organized and start TCing. These plants are the next explants. Plus VFs.

Linton, i would guess the largest plants is around 5-6 years old. I have only started the the pullings myself. They are crawling along... Next spring i'm going to make some root cuttings. If they sprout as fast as they say, then the largest plant may only be 3-4 yrs. I'm learning as i go but i'm getting a good diversity of specimens to compare to and it's helping.

WOW they are so beautiful ! This plant is the top plant a want to get for my collection !

My only reservation is the cost to get one. I have seen them for 35 or 40 dollars.

Pullings Rooted! Giants on the way!!! You just need to forget they are there sometimes, thats when it all grows out. Pics on the way Probably after transplanting.
