Why would you not be able to host one because you are a kid? Charlie hosted a very successful Wistuba order and he is only in middle school.

If you or someone else is able to host it, I would love to join in.

I'm about 99% sure that my mom would NOT enjoy a bunch of people's plants in our house, and me "wasting" time on plants.
Sorry

You forgot to mention me! ;)

I agree with Benurmanni. Kids are totally capable of hosting group orders!

It is unfortunate that your mom will not let you. Perhaps you can convince her... :)
Edit- I just checked and yes, you do have to have import permits in order to safely get plants from there. In my opinion, Wistuba is much better with regards to Nepenthes. Although the prices for the plants you mentioned are good, carnivoria charges 30 eur for a phytosanitary certificate, 40 eur for CITES and still more shipping costs, depending on the size of the order. That's a guaranteed 120 eur or more just for all of that while Wistuba only charges a flat rate of 50 eur (and you don't even have to worry about import permits, as they ship via a distributor in Oregon)

Why would your mom consider you to be "wasting" your time with plants? It's a much more enriching hobby than say, playing video games all day. Your mom should be glad that you have an interest in these plants, and that because of it, you hopefully a much greater reverence of nature overall :)

Hmm, I may host this order. I am selling a guitar pedal that I don't use anymore so I will have a decent amount of "plant money". I'll try to do Carnivoria over Wistuba mainly for the reason that I am interested in their South American Drosera and Pinguicula. Of course, that means people will probably need to pitch in a bit more for the shipping and phytosanitary certificate, and a CITES certificate if needed. I will have to talk with my parents as well, and I may consult others on how they did their group orders.

This is only a maybe, I would hope that someone who has hosted a group order before would chime to claim this arduous task.

Nah, she DOES support the hobby, but not to THIS much of an extent.
Trading with people, fine
selling plants, fine
but packaging plants, sorting them, and having all the hassles of a group order conflicting with my schoolwork, not so much

Do they have any interesting VFT'S? I would have no problem hosting if I knew I could do it correctly. All the paperwork etc. Is so complicated and if you make one mistake the entire shipment will be destroyed by the USDA.
