I found a new Texas native terrestrial orchid today. The Snowy Orchid.

Absolutely amazing!! How long does it bloom for if you know? The arrangement almost reminds me of Nepenthes flowers

They only stay open a week or two.

I love the look of that one! Jealous! I wish I had native orchids in my state and my county! I would love all of the picture taking opportunities!

CPN sells the Platanthera ciliaris, not the P. chapmanii. They look very similar but are a different species. I was given permission to collect a few seed pods this year from the preserve. I have distributed these to a few experienced growers and we are trying to get this plant into cultivation as it’s currently unavailable.
