I read online that the flytrap-farm in north Carolina uses a bit of vinegar with distilled or rain water to create acidic water. What's everyone's thoughts on this?

I wouldnt. (im no expert though)
I expect its one of those things where you would have to get the ratio just right.

The peat would naturally make the water acidic I would think.
