Nepenthes XXX and Pinguicula YYY?

Hello guys! It's been a while since my last post, was out of town traveling (sort of...)

Now I got back and in a recent visit to my nearest plant store one week ago I bought a plant labelled as Nepenthes alata, I've been wanting a Nep for long and finally got one! <3 <3. The issue is that every picture of Nepenthes that I've seen, they have their leaves very green, this one on the other side is quite brown, one possibility is the lack of sun since it was indoor in the store or it might not be a Nepenthes alata and that's why I recall to your wisdom and knowledge.

Also I would like to ask for this Pinguiula I bought (this is becoming some kind of addiction, lol) but it was labelled just like that. Any ideas of what could it be??

Thank you in advance guys!
Happy growing

Hmmmm... I’m fairly sure that’s not an N. Alata, it might be a ventrata or a sanguinea “black”. The ping sort of has leaves like a P. Agnata, just my two cents worth.

The nep will be fine, just leave it outside and let it adjust. You have two in the pot btw.

For house plants I think they put a mirror on the non-sunny side to reflect light onto it. Not sure if that’s what you are looking for

Well lets see how she behaves with time, also I moved the Ping to a window in the bathroom, there she'll have lots of humidity and tiny flies when the windows are open lol

Yeah, I noted that. Should I split them and or move them to a bigger pot?
They're outside with direct afternoon sun, about 6h of it, weather this time should be very friendly for her needs (for what I've read) although still not quite sure which type of Nep is. Will wait to see if more sun will bring greener leaves.

Not really but I'll keep that in mind for my future plants :D :D

Thank you guys!

To me, the Ping looks more like moranensis than agnata. It is really hard to say for sure though, as garden centers don’t usually grow their Pinguicula in optimal light and this can make it hard to see any distinctive features like the plant’s typical leaf shape or color.

For the ping, you will likely have a better chance of an ID once it flowers
