Hello. This is my fifth round with water germination. The other ones worked well but this batch of spatulata seeds from the seed bank seem to be growing mold. They appear to be stuck together by some gray filaments. It doesn't look like roots that I saw when the others germinated. Thoughts?

can't see very well, but by your description it's either mold, or your paper's doing something weird. might be mold since you didn't have any problems before. maybe blast it with light? i don't know how to make mold go away

It's hard to see what's going on. You could pour out a few to get a closer look with a loupe? And consider treating with H2O2 if you want to attempt a save (if it's mold).

Almost every time I do water germination I get something. Whether it's a slime or fungus, I'm not sure. Most of the time they start to germinate so I can get them out before it gets too bad.
I'm assuming that there is some sort of spore on the seed, I just don't know how to get rid of it.

Has anyone tried swishing the seeds in H2O2 before doing water germination? I wonder if this would prevent.
