i was looking at some of my pullings that i took out of the fridge last week becouse i they were still growing alot. i found a leaf that was really red. can anyone tell me why this would happen?

I notice that during dormancy or just before going into dormancy, the most green VFTs can turn really red - even parts that were already fully grown. Here is a leaf on a red dragon that is in the middle of turning a red. It grew green originally. It's the tall one right in the middle. You can see the "redness" going up the leaf.

I don't think it's something to worry about, either way. I have a Nepenthes Judith Finn with what seems like pure green leaves and there's one deep red-colored leaf just sticking out.

It's due to the lack of chlorophyll in the leaves. The plant is retrieving it back from the leaves for dormancy (it's rich in Mg). The red pigments stay n the leaf, making it look red.
