I recently sprayed my vft with Take Down Garden Spray. Its pyrethin with canola oil as the binder. I had bad luck with Neem Oil spraying my plants in the dead of day and burning the foliage. I sprayed them at sunset thinking that they would be fine the next day.

Are these marks oil burn or the potential cause for something else?

Could be just the insecticide.

My periwinkle had discolouration after a a similar spray but I’ve not tried on a VFT so far

My periwinkle is still very much alive.

I hope you're right. I tested a trap and it was fully functional.
