Around the end
of May, I let my only venus flytrap bloom and self-pollinated the flowers with an ear stick.
But after a month today,I found out that none of the flowers had fertilized. All just turned black and dried out.

What did I do wrong?

In my knowledge,self-pollination is ok for flytraps. Is there some conditions?

Some flytraps are sterile. Other times, as sanguinearocks101 mentioned, will abort going to seed, even if they were well-pollinated, if they are stressed or sick.
