Around the end
of May, I let my only venus flytrap bloom and self-pollinated the flowers with an ear stick.
But after a month today,I found out that none of the flowers had fertilized.All just turned black and dried out.

What did I do wrong?

In my knowledge,self-pollination is ok for flytraps.Is there some conditions?

I have heard that if the vft isn’t doing well then it might abort producing seed.

Some flytraps are sterile. Other times, as sanguinearocks101 mentioned, will abort going to seed, even if they were well-pollinated, if they are stressed or sick.
