Here's what it is. A lot of you have told me (and other members as well) that repotting is hard to do (with Dioaea). Theres this thing where you let the plants' roots grow through the "pot." The pot I'm reffering to is this thing made with a paper-ish material. In other words, they look and feel like an egg carton. If anyone could tell me what its called and know what I'm talking about, please tell me if it works for Dionaea. I think most would not know what it is because it is made by one brand, I think.

I think what you're talking about are seedling containers that are made out of compressed peat moss. If so, yep, you could for sure use them for Dionaea, but I'm not entirely sure that the roots of the Dionaea would be strong enough to grow through them.

I'm not sure whether the thing you are talking about is the same thing I'm talking about. But they are made for the roots to grow through them. I'm not even sure if I can get my finger through that thing.

yeah ive seen one of those things on ebay. i dont buy them cause i think the pot thing will rot

I wouldn't use those types of compressed peat or other organic material for Venus Flytraps. The pots wick the water away very quickly and would tend to dry out the root zone fairly fast if the pots are rather small. I'm not sure what advantages there might be to using those pots either, since although the fine, tough roots of common flowers and vegetables might grow through them once they are planted in soil, I'll bet that Venus Flytrap roots would have a harder time doing so, and the pot should probably be torn off before repotting the Flytraps anyway.

So it might be better just to use plastic, foam (like styrofoam) or ceramic pots instead. Repotting is not much of a shock to healthy Venus Flytraps.

I wouldn't recommend you potting your VFT in those types of pots.
I once potted my VFT in those pots but when you water it, after about 2 to 5 days, the pot becomes soggy and it starts to rip and fall apart!
