Flower stock is still all green days after cutting it off? P

I cut off the only flower stock that grew in my flytrap pot and plopped it in an empty space in said pot to see if it would strike. It's still all green after several days. I'm taking that as a good sign it may have striked. Right?

It takes quite a bit if time for strikes so I gather. Green is good still.
