What is your definition of forever? Some pitchers can take months to grow.

I would have to agree with Kate. If your plant is growing well I would say that you just need to be patient with the growing process. The good news is even though the pitchers may seem to take a very long time to mature, they also take a long time to decay.

Sometimes when conditions are not quite right, or when the plant is in transplant shock, or various other reasons, it puts out pitcherless leaves so it can still carry on with photosynthesis while it tries to adjust.

During this time the tips might turn brownish and not develop into pitchers, similar to how yours are doing. If you have recently transplanted or changed the growing environment, then it probably just needs time. It can take a few months sometimes.

Maybe others can help with the specifics of the optimum ventrata growing environment.

They are incredibly slow growing plants. You just need to be more patient.

Only look at the plant once a week or less or you will drive yourself crazy.
