What to Feed?

Maybe this is sort of an odd question, but here goes...

I'm interested in getting a Venus Fly Trap, but my house doesn't get many flies or insects at all. In this case, would I have to feed the plant, or would it be able to survive solely off its photosynthetic bits? If I did have to feed it, what could I feed it? Mealworms, bits of meat, something...?

You don't need to feed them anything. They will do just fine if you give them lots of direct sunlight.

Adam's got your question covered. I just wanted to add that you should never feed them anything they wouldn't catch in nature, so bits of meat are out of the question.

Oh, and welcome! :)

You can set them outside and they will catch the food themselves. Tons of bugs outside!

Well you could go to your local pet store and feed your plants the babay crikets.
