My VFT is eating one of its own leaves.. Is this usual?

It happen Its probably because the leaf stimulate inside trigger hairs of the other trap. Wait until tomorrow, the trap will open again, and the other one will be released.

It is hungry, what do you all expect ?

Mine is doing it also. It only just opened yesterday and now it's eating the same trap again.
