what species is this VFT?

hi,

just bought a VFT from SOBEYS.. it seemed in very good condition so they must arrived a day or two before i bought it... only 4 leaves were black...

what type is this?

Looks like a nice plant. If the plant was not labeled as anything distinct I think it must be considered a "Typical". I like the long leaves and the trap color.

Species = Dionaea muscipula
Cultivated Variety (what you meant to ask) = "typical" (since it was not labeled as a particular variety)

Anyone think it may either be a 'crested petioles' or a colorful lowes deathcube?
