I have venus flytrap seedlings germinated from seeds...My biggest seedling covers an area of a little less than a 1 Euro cent..

I have 2 strange traps (about 2mm diameter each)...The trap opened too wide...at an angle of 180degrees..

strange?

10x :)

This is a rare mutation, I believe; at the very least it certainly isn't common. I'd keep a close eye on it to see if it continues to develop traps like that.

In the meantime, take a look at these mutations ;) :

It's fine; it's just a growth mutation, much like the mutation that makes some flytraps have long teeth vs. short serrated teeth.

Are the tips of the traps curled outwards?

This kind of mutation, well be easily lost when plant grows bigger!
If it covers an area of a little less than a 1 Euro cent it will be 2 or 3 months old, so really a too young plant to show ANY kind of stable mutation. Just keep an eye on it ;) Maybe......
