Eating itself?

Hello,
I just bought a new plant and one of the traps has grabbed another trap. Is this normal? and if it isn't normal what do i do?

Don't worry about it. just try to pull the traps apart from each other. The worst case scenario is the one trap will die, but the plant will be fine. If you can't separate them, then I would cut of the trap that was eaten. No matter what, the plant is fine. :)

Haha cannibal flytrap! I have had that happen with no ill effects except a trap's death...

One of my Czech Giant's decided to grow 3 or 4 traps inside of existing traps. The way I look at it, nobody is there to peel traps apart from one another in the wild, so I probably shouldn't worry about it.
