I decided to try TC and after reading the forums decided to build a laminar flow hood out of some stuff I had around the house. It consists of a broken plastic tote, a Oreck XL air purifier, a new holms hepa filter, a cardboard box and lots of duct tape. The plants I'm trying first are some flytrap the had flower stalks FTS Flaming Lips, DC XL, some FTS seed grown, FTS Maroon Monster, and a S. Tarnok new pitcher cutting to use up the last jar.

Time for an update! so far i have had two contamination's. The DC XL tissue turned black. The Maroon Monster is doing the best with what I think is calluses. Everything else seems to be doing fine, the tops of the flower stalks are all growing super fast. About a week after I the original post I put a bunch of FTS seeds in and they are all starting to germinate.

Update 2 the MM and a couple of the seed grown tissues have started sprouting tons of traps and a few of the flower stalks are starting to callus. the seeds are all doing well the media is a bit to hard so the roots aren't really digging in. and a drosera regia and spatulata I got from PetroleumJunkie412. I cut some leaves and roots off the regia and put in their own jars but the condensation is preventing pictures.

Good work! After how many weeks did the seeds germinate?

it took about a month before the first one. Its been about 2 months and there are a couple that have just germinated.

Well this is my last update for this batch. I plan on getting some FTS flytrap red mix seeds for my next batch and any other seeds i might get. I am going to try and get Alien and DC XL into tissue culture using some trap tissue.
