Very nice renesis.

Are you planning on installing a UV light in the work area?

Hello ;)
I'm new on this forum. I have started TC about year ago. Laminar flow hood is a real miracle for work, stuff what you have bulilt completely yourself is real very good :D

I have for my own commercial laminar flow hood. It is relatively old, but it works very good. It also have got UV-light- very good thing. I can sterylise my containers only by putting them in hood, switching-on ventilator and UV-light, and after 20-30 minutes [in this time i'm preparing medium] i can pour medium into them [in the sterille-laminar-air are in the hood]. Boiling medium for 10 minutes in 100*C sterylises them completly. Doing my medias like that i don't have to sterylise medium again [when medium is autoclaved pH drops down about 0,5 point pH, and sugar, hormones and other labille chemicals slightly decomposes] what means less work.

If you can but UV-lights i really recommend to install them in flow-hood.

No plans to install one as of yet. I will likely look into it in the future though. I don't think I can install it on the outside of the plexiglass as it would block UV I think?

Sativ, Thats a very nice setup! You also make some excellent points for the UV light.
