This is an interesting post roarke. I know there is an island off of Japan that's been abandoned since WWII. I'll try to did up the link.

For now though, does this count?

It's a "ghost town" but I guess technically, being that it's a state park it's still suffering from some form of human occupation however I don't believe the park rangers live there. Still, it's definitely worth a peek.
