My first plant Venus fly

Can any one help I need advice this is my first ever vft does it look like it's OK when it arrived all the traps were closed but I think one or two are slowly opening am I doing right by the plant any advise is really welcome thank you markyardley1891@Gmail.com

1. They do best outdoors with sun exposure. Not sure where you live. If it's still bitterly cold then probably not yet. Indoors in cool area (garage, basement) with grow lighting until it warms up.
2. Water: Only distilled or rain water as tap water contains minerals that VFTs can't tolerate. Also, they need to be kept damp. Mine are in a bog garden with my Sarracenias on my patio.
3. Soil: You need peat moss with perlite mix. You can find premixed soil which can be found online though reputable carnivorous plant nurseries,
4. Dormancy is required. If you're in Northern hemisphere VFTs should be coming out of dormancy soon.

You can go to the care guide on Venus Flytraps related to this site here https://www.flytrapcare.com/for some overview and concerns, however they're are a few main requirements.

1. Lot's of direct sunlight (a windowsill will probably not work)

2. Distilled, reverse osmosis, or rainwater

3. Seasonal cues - keep them outside and let them undergo their dormancy.
