My Secret Watering Recipe

I have a 6" X 5" plastic pot filled with green moss from the Hiawatha Corp. in Shelton Washington.

This moss is harvested from the rain forests of the Pacific Northwest. ( the Olympic mountain regions)

You can buy bags of this moss at Fred Meyer.

Whenever my VFT's need watering I run distilled water over the tops of the moss and it drains out the bottom
onto the saucer.

Now I have this light brown acidic water to water with.

And my VFT's love this flavored tea as I like to call it. :D

Dr. Death my biggest VFT has 18 babies (all with teeth) coming up right now alongside of him.
Some of the baby traps are only 1/4" tall and they are already red inside and it is a green dragon specie.

My VFT's are like on steroids right now it seems!

That's very clever o_O Thank you for sharing! I'll have to make a note of that. I love the name of your largest VFT xD

Here are two photos of Dr. Death.

One photo with a close up of the new family members. 8-)

In the afternoon he likes to go out on the deck with his other buddies.
At night he sleeps inside on the coffee table under a 14 watt red & blue LED glow panel and a
16 watt LED red & blue Triband LED spotlight grow bulb.

The LED glow panel works top down.
And the LED spotlight bulb is in a desk lamp which shines on him horizontally.

Dr. Death loves those black carpenter ants.
I deliver them alive with my tweezers and the rest is history.
His favorite part is the thorax.

Cheers!

Eats, sleeps, gets out?

I'm glad I can just grow mine as plants outside, LOL!
