They look nice, but at least for me they tend to not retain their coloration once they get established. Mine looked pretty much the same when I first got it, and as it grew it's traps looked way greener. Now all the divisions just look like normal typicals.
This has been my experience as well. I've never gotten a repeat performance on that amazing original coloring. Now they just look like regular typicals that I would have casually passed by if it weren't for that intense color that separated me from my money. I wonder if before shipping out Rocket Farms does something special with their lighting spectrum to bring out that bright red/pink color for better display and to increase their sales.
I agree, I had to spend 2 weeks in the hospital recently (not covid related), and spent an extra week inside my house, but I just saw the VFT for the first time yesterday, and it looks completely different than the one I bought.
Granted, it decided to flower twice and grow loads of traps, but the traps are smaller and almost entirely green. Who knows what kind of sorcery Rocket Farms do to their VFTs...
