I apparently never stopped to read this. This garden was created on private property by Stanley Rehder, a man who loved Carnivorous plants. This garden is a work of love. The city of Wilmington NC owns it and maintains it. The garden could use it's own garden club to help maintain it.

yeah the backstory of that space is kinda cool just a project of love amongst a man and a few friends! in a random area behind a school! then the city built up around it!

seems like he woulda been an interesting person to talk to while still living!
