AWESOME vft list!

How do you like Royal Red? I have been really curious about it.

I typed this review for Royal Red yesterday:

Young Adult I purchased arrived with brilliant traps measuring apx. 1 inch on tall, long petioles. The contrast between the olive green rims preceding the celia, and the truly "Royal" red which comprises most of the Traps' coloration make this Beauty more like a separate Species than a Cultivar. It's Big!

Long Story Short: I underestimated RR's size as well as it's coloration. Probably the best red VFT available, with only Maroon Monster to rival.

I agree with Stratofortress' assessment of Royal Red. It's a nice, large-trapped red clone; one of the best. But I'd put Maroon Monster in front of it by quite a bit in terms of coloration, growth habit and especially vigor.

With the exception my 1st 2 "Garden-Variety" Dionaea, yes, everything was purchased from the FTS.

These days I spend most of my time online window shopping for CPs I would like to have. As you noticed, I already have a crowded growlist; which I house mostly on my efficiency apartment's balcony. I already have my kitchen counter space about 25% occupied by my VFTs. Perhaps next active growing season(it's already 30F here in MD ) I'd do some swaps  In the meantime I need to slowdown a little.

Thanks. My flytraps have added photography (of my plants at least)as a bonus hobby.
