Hello all plant people.
What is the name of this succulent media? People here know it as "pasir Malang", which translates to "Malang sand", which is not very helpful. So what is the name of this media, and can it be used for sowing/germinating lithops seeds (I really want to order)?

Mind the goat's poop fertilizer.
Got it free from a succulent nursery haha. They use it for all of their cacti/succulents.

I got curious to look around and see if I could find an answer online and ended up at:

"Malang sand (any sand taken from volcanos)."

so pumice/lava rock does sound correct/looks appropriate .

I noted references to different sizes in regards to bonsai users using it in mixes, as well as popularity in aquascaping which would make sense too!

Yes, it's popular with aquascaping. So can I sow and germinate and grow lithops in it?

Looks like lava rock, but could be pumice. Regardless, they are both fast-draining mixes that can be used as additives for many CPs or for succulents.
