thanks, i appreciate the help.

ive got two books with in-depth growing instructions, i was just hoping to hear from someone who had actual first hand experience.

i guess its not that popular.

i cant even find the aussie variety for sale here in oz and advice ive been given says importing is asking for an ass whoopin' by customs/aqis :(

what a shame, im currently halfway through building a water garden X fish pond and thought i might try one in there since it has all sort of life in there usually. (duckweed, lotus, lilly, etc)

aldro only catch small aquatic life so even goldfish of any reasonable size will be perfectly safe with em as the traps are apparently only 8mm or so, except maybe the hatchlings

how to grow it isnt really my main issue, it seems getting it is.

i must have sent off at least a dozen emails to people within aus i found off google searches related to aldro' , and almost every one comes back cant help.

I got mine from the meadowview biological research station in the US, I doubt they'll be willing to ship overseas but if you email them they might be able to tell you about suppliers in Aus. Maybe a long shot but I figured I'd say something.
